Artistic Director and Conductor
Clair Maxwell is in his ninth season as Conductor and Music Director for the Choral Guild of Atlanta. He is the Director of Music at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church in Dunwoody where he oversees the church's comprehensive music program for all ages. He also serves as organist and pianist for worship and accompanist for soloists and choirs. He is actively involved in worship and music planning with the church staff, and he coordinates the Celebrate the Artsseries of programs held in the church sanctuary each year. Prior to his appointment to the St. Luke's staff, Clair served as Director of Music and the Arts at Doylestown Presbyterian Church in Doylestown, PA and Director of Music Ministries and Organist at the United Methodist Church of Red Bank, NJ.
This is Dr. Kwon's fifteenth year with the Choral Guild of Atlanta. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance with a minor in Organ Performance from the Hugh Hodgson School of Music at the University of Georgia where she received her Bachelor of Music degree in Composition and completed her Master of Music degree in Piano Performance. She currently serves as the organist at Shallowford Presbyterian Church and the pianist of the Dunwoody Chamber Ensemble. She has given recitals both as a soloist and as a collaborative artist. Dr. Kwon is on the faculty at Agnes Scott College where she has been teaching piano, serving as an accompanist, and playing the organ for college events since 2002. She was on the faculty at the International summer Music Institute for Singers at Ewha Womans University in Seoul, Korea in 2012. She has received John Henry Dorminy Piano Scholarship the University of Georgia School of Music Scholarship, and Award of Excellence at the Georgia Music Teachers Association (GMTA) Competition.
